A rebrand for Houston's most celebrated salon — one that honors 14 years of client loyalty while announcing a new chapter of editorial-level artistry.
Do or Dye HTX has been a fixture in Houston's beauty scene since 2011. Under Brandi Lisenbe's leadership, it's become less a salon and more a creative institution — a place where clients don't just get their hair done, they get a transformation. But the brand hadn't kept pace with the work happening behind those chairs.
The brief was to build something that matched the editorial quality of Brandi's craft: bold, beautiful, and unmistakably Houston. Not trendy — transcendent. A brand that would feel as at home in a luxury magazine as it would on a neighborhood street corner.
We started with the name itself. "Do or Dye" is a pun that earns its audacity — it's both a declaration and a double-take. The brand leans into that wit while staying firmly in luxury territory.
The Do or Dye mark is set in a refined serif — elegant enough for a luxury positioning, but with enough character to honor the salon's irreverent name. Gold and black anchor the palette in premium territory, while a strategic use of hot pink carries the brand's personality: confident, modern, unapologetically feminine. The system works across everything from loyalty cards to Instagram grids.
